Adopt don't shop

Now that silly season is behind us, our lives are settling into the rhythm of the New Year and perhaps we're starting to think about a new pet.

Maybe you lost a beloved family pet in 2018 and you're wondering if it's time to allow another animal to share your home and experience the wonderful life you can give them.

Or maybe your children have been asking for years for a puppy or a kitten and the time has finally come?

Perhaps you're a couple who are interested in looking for your first pet together?

What ever your situation is, please consider adopting, rather than shopping. The months following Christmas and New Year are some of the busiest the shelters see. People drop off unwanted Christmas Gifts, leaving these pure souls at the gate and walking away. Some of the new faces in the shelters are pets who escaped during the fireworks on New Years Eve and the owners have either been unable or unwilling to find them.

Shelters, breed specific rescues, and even your local vet are the perfect places to start your search. We currently have five kittens and a beautiful one year old cat all looking for their forever homes and the shelters around the area have literally hundreds of four legged friends needing a loving family.

If you would like some help or advice in your search for your furry family member, please give us a call, we'd love to help.
