Meet Amy

After filling in for David while he was away over the Easter Holiday, Amy liked it here so much that she has continued on at Oakleigh Central on a part time basis and will be working every Monday and Wednesday and some Saturdays. She graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2015 and has worked in small animal practices on the Mornington Peninsula and bayside Melbourne. When she is not at Oakleigh Central she works at various emergency/specialist centres around inner Melbourne in their intensive care unit as an emergency veterinarian. Amy has a special interest in emergency medicine, surgery and end of life and palliative care of older dogs and cats.

Amy is an avid cyclist and can be found riding down Beach Rd along the bay on her weekends off. She loves travelling and has recently returned from a trip to the UK for a friend’s wedding in St Andrews, Scotland, at the famous Old Course Hotel.

Amy rescued a tiny ginger kitten called “Bubble” on one of her veterinary placements who had to be hand reared and bottle fed and ended up keeping her! Although she was a little wild and feisty at the beginning she has mellowed into a beautiful, affectionate girl.
