New Warning About Dog Diets

Recently we had a warning about Advance Dermocare dry dog food due to associations with megaoesophagus in dogs.

We have become aware of a new alert in America. The US Food and Dtrug Administration is alerting pet owners and veterinary professionals to reports of canine dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) in dogs potentially linked to ingredients (peas, lentils, other legume seeds, potatoes ) used in 'grain free diets. These reports are unusual because DCM is occurring in breeds not typically genetically prone to the disease. The FDA's Centre for Veterinary Medicine and the Veterinary Laboratory Investigation and Response Network are investigating.
