Dr Jonathan Boot

Following Jonathan's graduation from Sydney University in 1989, he moved to Victoria and gained employment at a dairy practice in South Gippsland. After two years he tried a career change in rock ‘n' roll. Talent and luck saw him quickly return to a mixed and then small animal practice in Melbourne.

Jonathan then spent ten years working in a variety of small animal practices until becoming a director-owner of a six vet practice in 2002. He sold his share of the business and then spent six months touring Europe
with his family in 2010. Jonathan has since been working as a locum veterinarian throughout Melbourne.

Jonathan considers himself a ‘jack of all trades' with interests in medicine, surgery, cytology and pocket pets. He is passionate about continuing education and sees his appointment as Practitioner in Residence for 2012 as the culmination of a long held dream.

Jonathan lives in the Yarra Valley with wife Michelle, three children and a small menagerie including dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs and a horse. 

Dr Jackie Doughty BVSc

I am Dr Jackie Doughty BVSc. I trained in Sydney, and graduated in 1994. I moved to Melbourne shortly after and worked in SE Melbourne and RSPCA, in small animal veterinary medicine. I have also worked for almost 2 years in emergency medicine. 

Whilst emergency work is both challenging and rewarding, I am happy to be back with regular hours, and regular problems! I am currently enjoying work at Oakleigh and I have to say, it's a wonderful crew, a great place to work and great clients to work for! I am lokking forward to help looking after your animals.
